Omnichannel experience at the INTERNET WORLD EXPO 2019: 450 exhibitors have already registered

Munich, November 21, 2018 _ Effectively implementing omnichannel strategies and successful sales through cross-border activities: The Internet World EXPO – the commerce e-xperience – will continue to set standards in its 23rd year when the focus is once again on the presentation of the best solutions for retail. Over 450 exhibitors are expected to be on hand. They, and those who still have the opportunity to register, will reveal on March 12 and 13 at the Munich Exhibition Center which tools provide optimal retail support across all channels.

At the leading trade fair focusing on all retail topics in the German-speaking region, sellers and retailers will find precisely the solutions and strategies that provide them with support for the designing of the omnichannel experience – be it the analysis of the customer journey across the diverse channels, personalized customer support, the trouble-free processing of payment services and receivable management, as well as with order fulfilment. The special exhibition area POS Connect at the Internet World EXPO will also specifically target stationary retail.

“For customers, a good customer experience means, first and foremost: a shopping experience during which on- and offline channels seamlessly mesh with one another, an experience that seamlessly connects stationary retail and the online shop and, when possible, is also fully independent of the device being used. Whether product search, selection or purchase – some consumers prefer a local retailer, some prefer to look online, and many mix these options according to their specific needs. In order to not lose customers in the process, retailers are faced with the challenge to interlink all sales channels seamlessly,” explains Dunja Koelwel, Manager Content EXPO & Conferences.

Solutions for cross-border e-commerce

Another focal point of the Internet World EXPO is cross-border online retail services: The potential for markets abroad is enormous; in this respect, for example, 64 percent of Chinese Internet users shop online. European brands are extremely popular with customers in China – especially German brands. It is therefore not surprising that international brands are increasingly penetrating the market in the Far East.

“More and more German companies also want to profit from this and want to offer their products on the Chinese market. Experts thus expect for 2018 a tripling of the cross-border e-commerce volume for the USA, UK, Germany, Brazil, China and Australia. In order to benefit from this development and to gain a foothold in the Chinese market, businesses should draw up a market entry strategy in which all important processes are defined,” continues Dunja Koelwel.

In order to provide a suitable forum for this need for information relating to successful retail efforts with China, Internet World EXPO has also been able to attract a very special exhibitor for 2019: China’s Shenzhen E-commerce Association will be present at the EXPO with its own stand and will be available for direct dialogue with visitors.
